JLG Forklift Part - Following retirement in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started out on a cross country RV expedition. After spending numerous years establishing his family built crane business with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would give birth to the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling equipment was the end result of a road expedition.

All through their trip, John reacquainted himself with former business associates along the way. In combination with these conversations and a significant event; two workers were unfortunately electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John discovered an infinite marketplace for a product that could promptly and safely lift people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other construction services.

Upon returning from their travels, John formed a partnership with two friends and bought a metal fabrication business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, starting operations with a crew of twenty personnel, they created and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The company incorporates many of the basic design elements of that original lift into existing versions.

JLG lift trucks have come a ways from the time when Mr. John L. Grove returned to town from his cross-country road trip and since the first aerial work platform debuted on the market. These days, the business proudly continues to expand itself into many marketplaces worldwide and develops new products to make sure consumers are capable of being more efficient and perform in the workplace within a safer environment.
